About

Uplift Enterprises (also known as Griot Unlimited) began as an entity devoted to serving Pittsburgh and other urban areas through promoting major performances. Uplift Enterprises successfully organized its first "Comedy Explosion" series by bringing both Kevin Hart and Mike Epps to sold-out audiences at Soldiers and Sailors Hall. On September 23, 2011, Uplift Entertainment organized a "Back-to-School Concert" with Trey Songz and the “Gospel Explosion” with the legendary Kirk Franklin.

Uplift and Service

Uplift Enterprises is also dedicated to the goals of Community outreach and Empowering the next generation: Uplift Enterprises has consistently organized charity events and awarded college scholarships to deserving area students. Uplift Enterprises also offers student internships for all of their events: Students interns gain expertise in organization and execution of events. Uplift Enterprises always seeks to highlight black-owned businesses that positively impact the communities that support our events.

Additionally, Uplift Enterprises helps organize local art festivals which provide platforms for local artists and vendors.  Altogether, the art festivals and major theater/arena events provide significant economic impact throughout the local economies.
